Interview- Iron Finger pt 1
Iron Finger is a rare breed of Rock music. Musicians that play their own instruments and do all their own writing and singing. Today we have a lot of artists that let all the electronics do the work. These guys create everything by hand and by heart.
I heard Iron Finger’s music through Bryan’s girlfriend. It didn’t take me long to tell that these guys were the real deal. You can even hear in recorded music when a band can really play. They take solos. They have chord changes and different structure that keeps your attention. They don’t just replay the song live like the recording. Every time they play the song it’s different. I sat in and shot some of their rehearsal before I interviewed them. They play so easily in rehearsal, but with your eyes closed you’d think they were all the way up to level 10. Well, I’ve seen the perform live since this. This rehearsal was at about a 7. When they get to 10, it’s an experience worth telling your friends about.

Confidence
Earlier this year I was watching a documentary on a writer named Fran Lebowitz. Fascinating film. I highly recommend it. At one point Lebowitz is speaking on a 2 person panel. Her, and Toni Morrison. At one point she addresses the audience and says:
By the way…When Toni said “Write the book you want to read.”, she didn’t mean everyone.
As Lebowitz speaks further, she says that this idea of self esteem has morphed into something much larger, where people think they can do anything well.

Interview- YahZarah pt 2
Guess who’s gonna be a mom!
Around the time we did this interview I guess Yahz would have been about a month along. If I had known I would have had plenty more questions to ask.
I found this excellent interview of Yahzarah where she talks about anticipating being a mother and the life of motherhood while being a performing artist.
As we continue with this interview and wrap up the session, she tells you where you can find more of her music as well as her words of inspiration to everyone out there.
Part 2- Opportunity and preparation
- Where you can find her
- Words of advice

Interview- YahZarah pt 1
I think YahZarah is everything many female vocalists wish they were.
Beautiful.
Sexy.
Classy.
Vocally gifted.
Spiritually sound.
It was some years ago when The Foreign Exchange first dropped their first album Connected, and one of my favorite tracks was “Sincere”. When I finally saw the video for it my heart jumped like “Whoa! Who is that girl!?”
Years later I finally got to see The Foreign Exchange live and Yahzarah graced the stage. It’s as if she retains all the values of engaging the audience that they really only teach in performance schools and acting classes. Thank goodness for Twitter giving me the ability to connect to her. I told her once she got to L.A. we had to do an interview, and that was that!
